April 20-24
Looking Back...
- This week in Kindergarten our letter of the week was Yy for Yak or Yoyo
- We made a letter Y into a cute little yak drawing!! And made Yarn Monsters!
- It was also Earth Day, we talked about and brainstormed a few ideas on how we can help our community stay clean and healthy. Ask your kiddo what some of the ideas were ☺
- In math we finished up patterning, we are able to identify the core of a pattern, extend a pattern, label a pattern and create our own pattern using a variety of ideas like colours, shapes, pictures or stickers!
- We also finished our 5 senses science unit!!
Looking Forward...
- Tuesday is Library day! Please send books back for exchange ☺ your kiddo gets to keep the book for ONE WEEk!! If it comes back to school the day after library, I am putting it back in their backpack for them to enjoy more.
- Given our crazy unpredictable weather, please ensure you are sending your student to school ready for any weather condition. We do still try to go outside every day!
- As much as we try to avoid, there are some parts of our playground and field that are quite muddy. It is a good idea to have a change of clothes in your students backpack in case of a slip.
- Our field trip is coming up on Friday May 22nd for AM Kindergarten friends, if you would like to volunteer please send me an email and I can add your name to the list! Keep your eyes open for permission forms coming home soon.
