September 8-11

It was so great to meet so many families last week at our first ever September Open House! Thanks for coming out and visiting our classroom

Looking Back...

- Last week we had our Terry Fox run! The kiddos ran so many laps and no one gave up, even when they got tired they kept on walking

- During the first few weeks we have reviewed classroom rules and expectations, we made a πŸ‘πŸ‘Ž page and sorted different behaviours like using inside voices, walking feet, sharing and yelling, running etc into the right category

- We have been practicing important skills using learning tools like scissors and glue. We talked about appropriate ways to use tools

- For glue we read "Too Much Glue!" and practiced making mosaic art with small pieces of ripped paper glued onto a shape

- For cutting we practiced how to hold scissors and chomp chomp chomp the paper! We made scissor salads and got to cut up all sorts of paper

- Monday was Dot Day and we use our imagination to turn dots into a variety of different things, monster truck wheels, animals, planets, snacks and more, ask your student what their dot became!

- This week we also had a dance residency "Three Left Feet" in our school and we got to go learn an awesome dance, more info regarding our show next week below

- We also practiced organizing the letters in our names in the right order

Looking Forward...

- Please ensure your student is able to tie their own shoe laces before sending lace up shoes as indoors!!

- Library Day is TUESDAY please return books for exchange each week ☺

- Join us for our Three Left Feet dance performance at 10:00 AM on Thursday September 25th
