Happy New Year!

Looking Back...

- We have jumped right back into learning since the break!!

- The number of the week last week was 6, we represented six using pictures, number form, stickers and tens frames

- For art we did a project using 6 sticks - ask your kiddo what they turned 6 sticks into, they had some really creative ideas!

- Last week's letter of the week was Ww for winter, we talked about what changes outside in winter and fun winter activities

- We journaled "In winter I see...." using pictures and starting to sound out beginning letter sounds we labeled our drawings

- The letter of the week this week was Mm

- We read The Mitten and practiced sequencing a story by acting out the animals with headbands and cutting and gluing animal pictures in order

- We finished patterning, creating our very own patterns on Mittens!

- The number of the week this week was 7

Looking Forward...

- Next week provincial assessments start, I will be in the building working with students, but we will have a few new faces in our room to support during this time

- Library day is Tuesday! Please return library books every week to be exchanged for new ones ☺

- If you could collect and send in clean toilet paper rolls for a project at the beginning of February, that would be greatly appreciated! We need one for each student in Kindergarten.

- BOOK ORDERS went home this week, if you are interested in making a purchase I will be submitting our class order on Thursday January 29th, to ensure they arrive before valentines day/family day long weekend. https://bookclubs.scholastic.ca/ our class code is RC110977
