January 19-28

 Looking Back...

- The letter of the week last week was Nn for Narwhal! We read Narwhal and Jelly books and drew a narwhal

- We did a letter sort to organize images that started with Mm and Nn, this helped us learn the difference between the sounds these two letters make

- In math we worked on our knowledge of 2D shapes

- With our buddies we made and labelled snowmen using lots of different 2D shapes

- Using tiles, we built animals out of shapes as well

- The letter of the week this week was Oo for Octopus and Olympics

Looking Forward...

- Library day is Tuesday! Please return library books every week to be exchanged for new ones ☺

- If you could collect and send in clean toilet paper rolls for a project at the beginning of February, that would be greatly appreciated! We need one for each student in Kindergarten.

- Next week Friday, January 6th we are celebrating the Winter Olympics opening ceremonies. We will have our own fun Kindergarten Olympics during the upcoming weeks. In order to celebrate this day, please send your kiddo in Canada gear or white and red!!

- Wednesday February 11th is Pink and Red day for Valentine's Day! Please keep a look out for more information regarding classroom Valentine's coming next week.
